The task is to create some sort of meaningful kind of application (be it for web, desktop, iPhone, etc) while utilizing at least one data source available on the NYC.gov Data Mine. There are cash prizes as well as chance to have dinner with New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg. Swanky.

Sidewiki appears as a field on the left hand side of the browser, where users can post contextual commentary. If it's a site paraphrasing a piece of literature and a user happens to have a link to the full text, it can be added there.

Daily Grind: Frenetic

Name: Vin (aka refresher)
How Vin feels today: Frenetic @ 2:40:00 PM
What Vin really wants today: So much work to do and only so much time to do it in. Although, it would probably help if I didn't volunteer unnecessary work for myself. Note to self: stop talking.

Music Stuck in Head: Bring Back the News / God Street Wine
This helps.

Stuff to do today:

  • Continue plugging away at overdue work projects
  • Attempt to post new photo to photoblog before the day is out
  • Thank Alpha for showing me the Internet phenomenon that is longcat
  • ...whats that you say? You don't know what that is?
  • Longcat is well, loooooooooooooooong
  • Get back to work
