Telltale's episodic adapation of The Walking Dead wins Game of the Year award.Telltale's episodic adapation of The Walking Dead wins Game of the Year award.

If you haven't played any games from Telltale now would be a good time to start. I've been a big fan of Telltale early on as they managed to take some classic yet seemingly abandoned LucasArts franchises (Sam and Max, Monkey Island) and restore them with new storylines and fun adventures. That being said, I've heard wonderful things about their latest offering with Kirkman's series and how it takes adventure gaming to an entirely different level. Truth be told, I haven't tried out The Walking Dead yet but I plan to in the near future. Congratulations to the entire Telltale Games team!

Everything you never knew about Google's top secret lab where they pursue future ideas.Everything you never knew about Google's top secret lab where they pursue future ideas.

According to the article, this magical place (dubbed 'Google X') is where Google may or may not be working on the following futuristic concepts:  1) an internet fridge that orders food when it's low, 2) driver-less cars, 3) space elevators, 4) personal assistant robots for your home, 5) networked coffee pots and gardening tools and finally 6) training monkeys to fly airplanes for special covert operations.

The fine print on the debt deal according to The New York Times. The fine print on the debt deal according to The New York Times.

The bill, in short, is not likely to have profound effect on the recovery in the near-term. It should be noted, of course, that the recovery still has plenty of its own problems, and that fiscal policy in 2012 will tend to be contractionary on the whole as the last vestiges of the 2009 stimulus roll off the budget and as the payroll tax cuts agreed to for 2011 expire. But that would be true even if a 'clean' debt ceiling increase had been adopted with no changes to fiscal policy.

McDonald's takes a stab at making Happy Meals a healthier option.McDonald's takes a stab at making Happy Meals a healthier option.

And just how will McDonald's pull off this healthy task you ask? By shrinking the size of the french fries portion that comes with the meal, of course. And believe it or not, the fast food chain even toyed with removing french fries all together from Happy Meals. According to the LA Times, families in this test group rebelled (non-violently) against this idea. Take that, healthly diet!

It is unlikely to become an immediate replacement for electricity because the crystals have to be cooled to below minus 272.15C — just above absolute zero — to be conducting.
