An awkward meeting between Twitter founder Biz Stone and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. An awkward meeting between Twitter founder Biz Stone and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook.

The Next Web posts an interesting article regarding a meeting between the two heads of the socially charged companies that happened some time around November 2008. It is rumored that this is about the time that Facebook was thinking of acquiring Twitter for sum of about $500 million. I smell a Social Network sequel or at the very least an Odd Couple-esque sitcom.

This particular Worth1000 contest reminds me of that Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror) episode where all of the advertising figures came to life.  'He came to life! Good for him.'

Objecs announced today that it has developed 'enhanced memorial products' that add Near Field Communications tags to cemetery markers, which allow text and photos to be 'embedded' in a headstone and retrieved whenever a cell phone is touched against its surface.

I love how National Geographic not only references Spinal Tap in the article, but they do so in the very first sentence.

A New York man is donating his 320th pint of blood this week, making him one of two people in the U.S. who has given 40 gallons. Seventy-five-year-old Al Fischer of Massapequa plans to reach the milestone Tuesday, 58 years after he started giving blood.
