Blu-ray discs will soon be capable of holding  a whopping 128 gigabytes.Blu-ray discs will soon be capable of holding a whopping 128 gigabytes.

The new BDXL specification describes High Capacity Recordable and Rewritable discs which will write up to 128GB of content on each disc. These are write-once capacities, with the rewritable discs allowing for 100GB of storage.

The new news is that XHTML2 is dead. The idealist recommendation for the web didn't make it. Possibly because of the lack of backward compatibility, possibly for lots of reasons – the web was hot with discussion on the loss of the spec; the why, who and 'whoh!'.

MaxConsole has some alleged leaked tidbits on Nintendo's next console in which they believe that the device will have Blu-ray support and finally boast high definition capability. Oh, and it will hit stores sometime in late 2010.
