Nirvana reuniting tonight with Paul McCartney filling in for Kurt Cobain. Wait, what?Nirvana reuniting tonight with Paul McCartney filling in for Kurt Cobain. Wait, what?

This unexpected bit of news should make for an interesting music performance this evening. Sorry Wednesday night programming - consider my television viewing and whatever other planned activities blocked off for the night. Good on you Sandy Benefit concert, good on you. Here's to hoping for a Scentless Apprentice > Polythene Pam > Polly medley.

Adam Sandler to play... Dracula?Adam Sandler to play... Dracula?

The cast is also rumored to include David Spade, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, and Steve Buscemi. For those of you thinking that this has the makings of the best live action movie ever made, don't. This flick is to be of the family animated variety, most likely available shortly after release at all major participating Duane Reade and CVS locations.

Cheese sandwiches can also double as punishment sentence for school food fights.Cheese sandwiches can also double as punishment sentence for school food fights.

Ah, food fights - the cornerstone of every good education. Rather than hand out detention for those involved in said food fights, one New Jersey school decided to serve up nothing but cheese sandwiches. They hope this policy will help to reduce further food fight escalations. Keep on fighting the good fight, Jersey.

Eleven minute solar eclipse won't happen again until the year 3034 says NASA.Eleven minute solar eclipse won't happen again until the year 3034 says NASA.

NASA said on its website the eclipse was annular, meaning the moon will block most of the sun's middle, but not its edges, causing it to look like a ring. This blockage will last for 11 minutes, 8 seconds, an annual duration NASA said would not be exceeded until December 23, 3043.

This poor little vehicle has had nothing bad luck since it got to Mars. Latest reports from NASA indicate that Spirit is currently stuck in a sand trap and has lost a wheel as well. Bummer.

Krispy Kreme burger now available for purposeful clogging of arteries.Krispy Kreme burger now available for purposeful clogging of arteries.

The story goes that the inventor of this 1,500 calorie sandwich was trying to make a burger, ran out of buns, then proceeded used glazed doughnuts instead. The final touch? Deep frying the whole thing. Hospital please.

Cocain sandwiches, anyone?Cocain sandwiches, anyone?

Nope, not the smartest way to smuggle something into a country. Probably not all that tasty either.

The study found that digging in the sand raised the risk of diarrhea by 44 percent in young children — those under the age of 11. And kids who were buried in the sand were 27 percent more likely to develop diarrhea than those who weren’t.
