Square Enix would really like to sell a lot of Final Fantasy XIII games.Square Enix would really like to sell a lot of Final Fantasy XIII games.

To be a little more precise, they would really like to sell over six million copies of Final Fantasy XIII worldwide. Of those six million copies, one of which will probably end up in my living room.... when it comes to Xbox 360... in 2010.

Sony's win be may due to a variety of factors, according to BCN. The company focuses on lower-cost music players, with the average price of a Walkman dropping in recent weeks while Apple's prices have stayed firm.

Sales are down, the software chart is dominated by Wii and DS titles that have been out for years or that continue existing franchises, and Sony needs to do something to energize gamers.

It's expensive to develop for the console, and the Wii and Xbox are just selling better. Games generate a better return on invested capital on the Xbox than on the PlayStation.
