Glad to see more of the plot and some new characters. Overall, this is starting to look like it will be a worthy succesor to the previous two movies. So yes, I'll be at the theaters on June 18th with the entire family this day. Hold my calls.

Not a bad year for pop culture with all things considered. I would just like to add that it was also a glorious year to be a Phish fan (reunion, new album, Halloween festival, stellar shows, etc).
- Another trailer for Toy Story 3 surfaces online.
This new trailer seems to be a mix of some new footage along with a bevy of clips from the older movies interspersed in there as well. The end result makes it kinda look like a fan-made trailer you'd see on YouTube.

The art style looks fantastic as usual. I'm really impressed as to how they managed to attain a better sense of realism while sticking to the original Toy Story atmosphere. See you in line for tickets next summer.

The only problem is – during their initial escape attempt – the Space Ranger gets severely damaged. To the point that Woody & friends are forced to hit Lightyear’s reset button. Which then puts Buzz into Spanish-speaking mode.

It looks like you'll be seeing different races around the world with a little bit spy thriller mixed in for good measure (wasn't a big fan of the original but my kid is obsessed). The sequel will be in theaters summer of 2011.

The purported plot: Andy packs up for college, debates bringing Buzz and Woody. Shenanigans occur and somehow all of the toys end up in a daycare center where they are 'horribly abused' by little kids. Ok then.

- Makers of Luxo lamp decide to sue Disney and Pixar over mascot usage and name.
The Norwegian company that originally designed the iconic lamp is claiming copyright infringement. It probably doesn't help that Disney is packaging a version of said lamp to sell with the Blu-ray version of 'Up' and that they also have a six-foot animatronic version over at Disney World in Orlando.

Shortly before Toy Story, Pixar was forced to create television commercials. The company had been losing money for years and Steve Jobs was hoping to recoop some of the money by having the company produce animated television commercials.
