In December 2009, 59% of Americans used TV and the internet simultaneously, compared to 56.9% in June 2009 and 57.5% in December 2008. On a year-over-year basis, participation in this activity increased 2.7%, accord ing to the report.

For most of these users, video viewing was additive to the traditional TV experience, but 20 percent of those who watch online video regularly said they watch less TV as a result, with males between 12 and 34 making up the largest chunk of this group.

Some think it means 30% of an area will get rain. Others think it will rain for 30% of the day. In fact, of all the forecast terms used by meteorologists, this remains one of the most baffling to the public.
