It turns out that all of the thousand applications in question were actually from the same developer. The developer was trading promotional codes in exchange for five star reviews. Apple was none too pleased hence the swifty expulsion from the app store island.

According to today's batch of recently leaked information the fabled tablet is due to arrive next Spring. It will have a 10.1 inch multi-touch screen thus making it mostly similar to what can only be described as a really big iPhone. Woo.

Akamai said that its Net Usage Index -- which monitors North American visitors to sites such as American Eagle Outfitters, Overstock.com, QVC.com and eBags.com -- said traffic was up nearly 39% compared to the same time last year.

Move aside Tickle Me Elmo - this year robotic hamsters are all the rage.  The price might be a factor in this as well as these little robots will only set you back about eight or ten bucks. They also leave less of a mess than a real-life hamster, which is nice.

Judge William Alsup's court of Northern California ruled in Apple's favour on all counts. Psystar is now likely to face claims for damages from Steve Jobs. Psystar is attempting a parallel defence in Florida, where the firm is based.
