Five new lightweight planets discovered via Kepler space telescope.Five new lightweight planets discovered via Kepler space telescope.

All five planets in question are really close to nearby stars making them a little too hot for any actual human/alien life. Also, the orbital period is about three to four days but still, your face would melt off.

Give some blood and get some free coffee in return.Give some blood and get some free coffee in return.

Dunkin' Donuts has teamed with the Red Cross for a promotion that entails trading up a pint of blood for a pound of coffee. Start the year off by doing something nice and enjoy some free caffeine as your reward. Apparently this promotion only applies to certain Connecticut residents only. Hrmph.

Avatar flick still doing pretty well for James Cameron and company.Avatar flick still doing pretty well for James Cameron and company.

The film has raked in a whopping $232 billion thus far. Source website seems to think that Avatar is well on it's way to reaching the likes of Star Wars ($460.9 million) and maybe even Cameron's own Titantic ($1.8 billion). Not sure how you can equate $232 million to $1.8 billion that quickly though.

For those who don't know, Green Mountain Coffee are the geniuses behind the Keurig K-cup design for quick (and painless) single-cup coffee brewing. This is a smart move since Timothy's always had a more interesting flavor set anyway (as evidenced by the thumbnail over on the left).
