One scientist has managed to successfully trap a rainbow. One scientist has managed to successfully trap a rainbow.

When they shone a multi-wavelength laser beam at the open end of the gilded waveguide, a trapped rainbow formed inside. This could be seen as a series of coloured rings when the lens was viewed from above with a microscope.

A thorough debunking of laser usage in selected Hollywood movies.A thorough debunking of laser usage in selected Hollywood movies.

Lightsabers violate the rules of physics in several important respects. For one thing, laser light is continuous so it wouldn't be possible to make it end in a tip to form the blade.

...the attacker grabs the keyboard signals that are generated by hitting keys. Because the data wire within the keyboard cable is unshielded, the signals leak into the ground wire in the cable, and from there into the ground wire of the electrical system feeding the computer.
