I had no idea that a) the main tag line of Star Trek (to boldy go, yadda yadda) was lifted from a White House pamphlet on space exploration and b) the entire sentence is grammatically incorrect. Lets hear it for split infinitives!

If you happened to be doing some overseas traveling over the past few days you might have noticed a delay or two (possibly more numerous than that). While this would've made for a really good excuse to justify the lack of recent GLM postings, sadly (or happily - depending how you look at it) it wasn't the case. More on that later.

National Geographic offers up roughly forty-eight ideas to maximize your next scenic drive experience for those so inclined. Of the forty-eight on this list I am proud to state that I can check off two (maybe three) items off of this list. Alright, maybe I'm not so proud - I need to get out more.

Said notebook refresh brings the 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pros over to speedier Intel i5 and i7 chips. According to some early benchmarks these machines are about 50% faster than the previous generation. Sadly, the 13-inch model is still stuck in Core 2 Duo land.

This is a great read for any designer (be it web or print) who might be looking to beef up their current typography skills a little bit. Some items you'll learn about include kerning, font communication and what they mean in regards to effective use of typography.

Yes, you may be getting your iSocial on in the near future thanks to this little patent that Apple has put forth specifically for the iPhone. Behind the scenes your iPhone passes tokens around to correspond with users in your immediate vicinity and let's you connect with them (either digitally or realistically).

Turns out that twenty-six gigapixels can make for some interesting aerial photography with some astounding details. For instance, try zooming in on that speck off in the distance, it's probably a building.

There are currently over a thousand games on the Steam distribution system that Mac users may get access to sooner than later. Now you just need to find yourself a Mac with a decent enough graphics card to play some of these fine games (sadly, my wimpy MacBook Intel GMA card will most likely not cut it).

I am loving some of these National Geographic slideshows (even more so with their new recent web redesign), especially when it's on odd subjects I rarely think about - case in point, carnivorous plant-life. Beware and behold these fearsome plants!

Behold the wondrous splendor of Martian landscapes in all their strange atmospheric glory. After viewing these photographs I have a strange desire to go watch Total Recall. Two weeks!

This post also serves to let you all know that National Geographic has just recently given their beloved website a bit of facelift. It's nice to see that their photography now plays a much prominent role on their overall website design.
