The general thought has been that AT&T didn’t want always-available VoIP because it would eat into its core business as a telephone company. The well known 3G congestion on AT&T’s network has also been suspected. This has all been upturned, for voice communications at least.

In Wave, e-mail-like communications can be edited by several users simultaneously. And users can chat about certain sections of Wave documents in real time, where all users see what a person is typing as it is typed.

Sidewiki appears as a field on the left hand side of the browser, where users can post contextual commentary. If it's a site paraphrasing a piece of literature and a user happens to have a link to the full text, it can be added there.
