Netflix testing out personalized profiles for their streaming services.Netflix testing out personalized profiles for their streaming services.

The test version showed separate viewing histories and recommendations for each profile. Users are able to fine-tune their profile by telling Netflix about their movie preferences, and profiles for kids under 12 are automatically based on the service’s Just for Kids UI. In addition, parents are able to restrict the type of content displayed on a kids profile based on movie ratings.

Turns out that twenty-six gigapixels can make for some interesting aerial photography with some astounding details. For instance, try zooming in on that speck off in the distance, it's probably a building.

Always wanted to know what the ten most addictive sounds in the world are?Always wanted to know what the ten most addictive sounds in the world are?

On the list of overall sounds (both branded and non-branded), the sound of a baby giggling grabbed the number one spot, but chip manufacturer Intel's distinctive chime came in at number two. The sound of a vibrating cell phone ranked third.

Want to know just how much power your brain needs in order to function?Want to know just how much power your brain needs in order to function?

In a nutshell, a robot with a processor as intelligent as the human brain would require at least ten megawatts to operate. By contrast, a dimly lit light bulb takes about just twenty watts and Doc Brown was able to send Marty back to the future via 1.21 gigawatts (1210 megawatts).
