Guitar Hero franchise not quite dead yet, gets upgraded to mostly dead.Guitar Hero franchise not quite dead yet, gets upgraded to mostly dead.

It turns out there is still money to be made from selling plastic guitars and other assorted musical peripherals for console gaming. Activision Blizzard has stated that the franchise will indeed be making a return and that the experience will be reinvented, rebooted, retooled, whatever you want to call it. Hey Activision, please make sure that whatever you release at least works with my existing dusty plastic peripherals. Thanks.

The first is raw hours of consumption, which counts time spent multitasking—browsing the Web while watching TV, for example—twice. All told, US consumers spend nearly a dozen hours a day immersed in some sort of media.

CNET would like you to know why consumers won't be buying tablet computers.CNET would like you to know why consumers won't be buying tablet computers.

While a tablet may be great for browsing the Web and viewing media, it's too big to replace a phone and too limited to carry around as a work computer. People will need their keyboarded Netbooks and notebooks for real work.
