Nirvana reunion song to be part of soundtrack to Dave Grohl's directorial debut film.Nirvana reunion song to be part of soundtrack to Dave Grohl's directorial debut film.

The song you heard last night at the 12/12/12 concert (if you stayed up late enough) was titled 'Cut Me Some Slack'.  This song is the result of the Nirvana reunion / Paul McCartney mashup and it will serve as part of the soundtrack to Sound City. Sound City ity is a film that Dave Grohl directed. It's a documentary chronicling the history of the Sound City recording studio over in Van Nuys, California. It has a notable history with some of the most legendary artists in music history laying down tracks there.

This unexpected bit of news should make for an interesting music performance this evening. Sorry Wednesday night programming - consider my television viewing and whatever other planned activities blocked off for the night. Good on you Sandy Benefit concert, good on you. Here's to hoping for a Scentless Apprentice > Polythene Pam > Polly medley.

Australian police issue warning about using maps on iOS 6 for driving directions.Australian police issue warning about using maps on iOS 6 for driving directions.

Local Police have been called to assist distressed motorists who have become stranded within the Murray-Sunset National Park after following directions on their Apple iPhone. Tests on the mapping system by police confirm the mapping systems lists Mildura in the middle of the Murray Sunset National Park, approximately 70km away from the actual location of Mildura. Police are extremely concerned as there is no water supply within the Park and temperatures can reach as high as 46 degrees, making this a potentially life threatening issue.

Thirteen of the world's greenest restaurants for you green foodie enthusiasts out there.Thirteen of the world's greenest restaurants for you green foodie enthusiasts out there.

Leaving this here for those of you looking for some travel inspiration and/or food for thought (if any of these joints happen to be in your neighborhood). Unfortunatly the closest one to my neighborhood happens to be a couple states away over in Nebraska. Although if I had my way I'd probably pay a vist to the solar-powered Burger King for giggles.

Installing spy camera software on laptops at the Apple Store may not be the smartest idea.Installing spy camera software on laptops at the Apple Store may not be the smartest idea.

So the story kinda goes like this, an artist wanted to capture various people as they stared blankly into computers, you know for purposes of art (better explanation via source link). The computers happened to be the public ones at a New York City Apple retail store. No big deal, right? The Secret Service apparently felt differently and issued a search warrant for computer fraud. Whoops.

Get your imaginary baseballs and soccer balls (anything imaginary will do really) ready because Project Natal will be available for your beloved Xbox 360 this October. Microsoft hasn't nailed down an exact date that month but they think they'll have that ironed out by the time E3 rolls around.

Twelve stylish and creative sinks for your viewing pleasure.Twelve stylish and creative sinks for your viewing pleasure.

Any sink you come across today will look dated and unappealing after seeing the photos contained on this link. Sure, they may not always be quite as functional as a regular sink but who cares - I've always wanted a sink that resembles a water slide.

The robotics aren't quite advanced enough yet to send an actual android that is advanced as the ones you've seen on Star Trek - but it's a start. As to when these robot astronauts will turn on their masters and decide to destory all of our satellites - anybody's guess.

Some top Google executives just do 5-minute meetings — anyone who attends these meetings had better be prepared, and concise. If you can get out of meetings and just get the notes, or find an alternative way to communicate, it could save you hours per week.

I wouldn't call this so much of a 'hack' (or hacker according to Wired) but rather a disgruntled employee who happened to know his way around a most-likely poorl y designed online security system. If you put functionality like this online without proper security this is just an accident waiting to happen.
