Google already hard at work on an Apple iPad competitor device.Google already hard at work on an Apple iPad competitor device.

Well surprise, surprise - Google wants in on the tablet market as well. Actually, it's not much of a surprise at all but it'll be interesting to see how this all progresses in terms of the continued rivalry between Apple and Google.

Large hadron collider smashes protons successfully after some minor power issues.Large hadron collider smashes protons successfully after some minor power issues.

This is thought to have a profound role in the structure of the Universe, and would enable scientists to explain why matter has mass - something which, at a fundamental level, they have difficulty doing at present.

Sorry to build your hopes up with that headline Star Wars fans, but these kicks are for kids only. However, if the comments on the source site are any indication - an adult line of these sneaks would probably sell too.

Ten creative and geeky hoodie designs for your viewing pleasure.Ten creative and geeky hoodie designs for your viewing pleasure.

I added 'geeky' to the headline mostly because all of these hoodies are of the Star Wars, comic book or video game variety (not that there's anything wrong with that; I just felt it had to be clarified). Source link also contains purchase links for those who are so inclined. By the way, that R2-D2 hoodie will set you back $92 bucks.

Support for front-facing camera found hidden within the iPad SDK code.Support for front-facing camera found hidden within the iPad SDK code.

Along with the references to camera in the code, others have even discovered GUI elements that reference it as well. Perhaps there are still some suprises in store for the iPad or maybe this is just for future-proofing version two.

...a source of 'security holes.' He also referred to Flash as dying technology, likening not supporting Flash on the iPad to Apple dropping support for floppy drives, ditching legacy data ports, and replacing CCFL backlighting with LEDs.

This is quite handy since I didn't actually watch any part of the SuperBowl last night. Yet for some strange reason I really enjoy watching expensive advertisements and commercials. Hooray for the Interwebs.

Adobe decides to chime in on the iPad's lack of Flash capability.Adobe decides to chime in on the iPad's lack of Flash capability.

The lack of Flash support for the iPad - and, for that matter, for the iPhone and iPod touch as well - is Apple's doing, not Adobe's. Adobe, for its part, has been eager to get Flash onto Apple's handhelds for quite some time.

But Google's latest plans appear to be aimed at countering that 'closed loop' business model with a product that can run any application on any network -- a tactic that reminds experts of the battles between Microsoft and Apple over computer operating systems in the 1980s.

To say that I was a big fan of the first game is a bit of an understatement. I'll be buying this the day it comes out which of course has yet to be revealed (2010 is the only date thus far). LucasArts has a high resolution version of the trailer over on their site for those so inclined.
