Season finale of House filmed entirely via a Canon 5D Mark II digital camera. This is quite an endorsement for Canon, with a network giant entrusting the finale of one of its most popular shows to the 5D Mark II (which happens to be the first digital camera to take the Presidential portrait as well).

Engadget goes eyes-on with Samsung's new 85 inch television set.The company calls the stand a 'timeless gallery' frame, and indeed the set would fit right in with some of the more conceptual pieces at the MoMA. Still, that easel-like design could be a bit limiting for some living rooms, so you can remove the S9 and wall-mount it -- though the 2.2 channel audio is built into that frame. Unique design aside, this TV is all about the high-end specs.

New Lego Mindstorm sets come with iOS and Android support right out of the box.Its updated Mindstorms EV3 runs on new Linux firmware that's ready for Android and iOS control out of the box, creates an overall more hackable platform and allows further programming on the core Intelligent Brick itself; accordingly, there's an SD card slot for local storage. A built-in infrared sensor expands the possibilities for a more autonomous design, as well -- Lego suggests that EV3 constructs can follow other moving gadgets, or even their creators, around the room.

Barack Obama is TIME's 2012 Person of the Year.Since the moment Obama arrived on the national scene in 2004, the very idea of leadership has been under assault. Many of the old institutions that once anchored the American Dream have been bled of public confidence. Banks, Big Business, the news media and Congress all polled at or near record lows during his first term. Obama himself was the target of uncommon vitriol, but he has somehow managed to keep the public’s faith.

Best Buy has the current generation Apple TV for $89 with free shipping.Posting this here because I've grown to love this product in the few short weeks I've had it. It's a great implementation for getting your Internet media as close to your television as you would need it. My kids love watching clips on YouTube and Vimeo so having that readily available in the living room is a big plus. Also, having the entire media contents of your Mac is just great as well. Bonus: using the Apple Remote app for any of the iDevices may make you want to chuck the included remote.

Vimeo now available on your Apple TV thanks to latest software update.Vimeo has some great HD content, it's nice to see this appear on the little black TV box from Apple. Besides the welcomed support of Vimeo to this little device, you can also stream your purchased television shows directly from the cloud. This will work for your previously purchased television shows as well which is nice.

Some casting news for next season of Game of Thrones for those interested. After seeing the first season I've been hooked on this show and can't wait for season two (which will most likely surface next year). The books are also a fun read as well and I recommend them to anyone looking to pick up on their summer reading. If you are more of a summer television watcher then go watch the series, you won't be disappointed.

Ten neat Star Wars shirts for your viewing pleasure, go forth and wear The Force proudly.Be the envy of all of your friends as you wear your Wookie of the Year t-shirt with pride and honor knowing that you've served The Republic and rid the galaxy of evil forces who came at you with robotic droids. They may have overrun your planet and caused a Jedi Master to flee into exile but in the end you can always crash with your Ewok friends on Endor and call it a day. Too much?

Next version of iOS to bring bluetooth keyboard support to the Apple TV.Navigating around on Apple TV isn't exactly all that fun of an experience. Adding the ability for a keyboard (or some other form of navigation device) would definetly be helpful. Interesting to note that 9to5mac also points to rumors of an updated Apple TV coming out sometime this fall.

Twenty-six cool And unusual bed designs for your sleepy viewing pleasure. My pillow-top bed is looking pretty boring compared to this list of non-boring beds by the folks over at coincidentally named BoringPanda.com. Sidenote: that may be one of the coolest domain names I've come across this year which is neither coincidental or boring. Mind blown.

A review of the Fujifilm FinePix F550EXR digital camera. This is not a product plug (although it will sound like one) but I recently purchased one of these and so far I'm loving it. I've always been a big fan of Fuji's line of cameras, they last a long time and take great pictures. I've tried out some other point and shoot digicams from Canon and just have never been all that impressed. I always end up coming to back Fuji. I'll post a couple examples to the photoblog sometime this week. Two thumbs up from me if you're in the market for a new point and shoot.
