Best Buy now selling that Barnes and Noble Nook e-reader.This should certainly ramp up the potential exposure that The Nook receives with these added purchase locations. Although, I'm not sure if it will really help as most Best Buy locations are also selling Apple's iPad. Side by side, The Nook looks a little shabby at it's current price tag.

Engadget goes eyes-on with Samsung's new 85 inch television set.The company calls the stand a 'timeless gallery' frame, and indeed the set would fit right in with some of the more conceptual pieces at the MoMA. Still, that easel-like design could be a bit limiting for some living rooms, so you can remove the S9 and wall-mount it -- though the 2.2 channel audio is built into that frame. Unique design aside, this TV is all about the high-end specs.

New Lego Mindstorm sets come with iOS and Android support right out of the box.Its updated Mindstorms EV3 runs on new Linux firmware that's ready for Android and iOS control out of the box, creates an overall more hackable platform and allows further programming on the core Intelligent Brick itself; accordingly, there's an SD card slot for local storage. A built-in infrared sensor expands the possibilities for a more autonomous design, as well -- Lego suggests that EV3 constructs can follow other moving gadgets, or even their creators, around the room.

Yahoo pulls the curtain back on a brand new version of their mail client.Definetly looking forward to giving this a whirl as I'm starting to grow weary of the GMail interface these days. Microsoft Outlook, which I use for work, is moderately simple yet has power features for people (such as myself) who are little overboard in terms of organization. I'd also like to point that GMail's labels versus folders paradigm does absolutely nothing for me. GMail looks like a stream of people shouting at me.

Best Buy has the current generation Apple TV for $89 with free shipping.Posting this here because I've grown to love this product in the few short weeks I've had it. It's a great implementation for getting your Internet media as close to your television as you would need it. My kids love watching clips on YouTube and Vimeo so having that readily available in the living room is a big plus. Also, having the entire media contents of your Mac is just great as well. Bonus: using the Apple Remote app for any of the iDevices may make you want to chuck the included remote.

Engadget's thorough review of the brand new Kindle Fire tablet from Amazon.Engadget covers everything here from the packaging to the performance of Amazon's first real entry into the tablet field. Engadget hails the device as quite an achievement at it's current price point ($200) but they do knock the device some by saying that it can't compete with 'normal' tablets that are currently on the market in some key factors.

You won't be seeing Siri on older iDevices anytime in the near future. That's a shame but it makes sense given Apple's strategy and history of making certain features exclusive to particular iPhone models. Not clear on why devices other than iPhones have to miss out on this. The iPad 2 should have enough horsepower to run Siri without an issue (same for their notebook line as well).

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy app coming soon to an iPad near you.Canadian indie developer Hothead Games is producing a Hitchhikers Guide app, aiming to replicate the titular guide itself (rather than the novels). When it arrives this fall, we can expect beautifully animated sequences describing the Babel Fish and Vogon Poetry -- but just a single word about planet Earth (the addition of the word 'Mostly' should come in a second, more sinister update).

Nintendo decides to drop price of the 3DS from $249 to $169.But that's not all! If you were an early adopter and have managed to come out of the ordeal eye-strain free you'll have twenty free games waiting for you for being such a loyal customer. Those free games will be comprised of titles from Nintendo's eShop - ten of which have to be NES and the other ten GBA... but hey, free games!

Taiwanese tea company decides to market their product by way of mock Apple keynote. The Jobs / John Stamos hybrid dropped by to pitch a Taiwanese company's vast selection of tea, of all things, for a TV advertisement that's apparently currently airing in Taiwan. Decked out in light jeans, a black mock turtleneck and sneakers, the impersonator even matched Steve's hair color, rimless glasses, and current weight. The only thing missing was an actual Apple product -- and months of media speculation.

A review of the Fujifilm FinePix F550EXR digital camera. This is not a product plug (although it will sound like one) but I recently purchased one of these and so far I'm loving it. I've always been a big fan of Fuji's line of cameras, they last a long time and take great pictures. I've tried out some other point and shoot digicams from Canon and just have never been all that impressed. I always end up coming to back Fuji. I'll post a couple examples to the photoblog sometime this week. Two thumbs up from me if you're in the market for a new point and shoot.
