- New world record for largest group of water skiers claimed over in Australia.
It took a group of 114 water skiers to break the previous record of 100 water skiers all of which were towed by a single boat for the distance of one nautical mile. Apparently the group in question had been trying to break the previous record for quite some time. Congrats.

- A handy tutorial on how to make your very own vinyl record bookends.
Another awesome quick four-step tutorial from the fine folks over at Instructables. Simply boil up some of your old vinyl records and bend them, mold them, shape them into retro bookends. Really, when you were going to listen to those old polka albums anyway?

The quantity of water present at the lunar poles is significant,' Spudis writes; 'at the north pole alone, the 600 million metric tons of water there -- turned into rocket fuel -- is enough to launch the equivalent of one Space Shuttle (735 mT of propellant) per day for over 2000 years.'
