Sony to start selling 3D-capable televisions starting this June.
Included are two pairs of Sony's 3-D glasses, as well as a camera sensor on each unit that will adjust sound and picture quality based on viewers' positions. A remote control button enables the switch from a regular 2-D image to 3-D.

Apple would like you to know that they've had over 40 billion downloads from their app store.
That's a lot of downloads. Apparently half of that number was just in 2012 alone.

Apple pulls the curtain back on iTunes 10.5.1 with iTunes Match.
Unlike competing cloud storage music services from Amazon and Google, iTunes Match saves a lot of bandwidth and time in your initial synchronization, because Apple can identify which songs in your iTunes library are already available in the iTunes Store. If Apple can positively match a song in your library with any of the 20 million tracks for sale in the iTunes Store, it won’t bother uploading that song; only unmatched songs get uploaded to the cloud.

Engadget's thorough review of the brand new Kindle Fire tablet from Amazon.
Engadget covers everything here from the packaging to the performance of Amazon's first real entry into the tablet field. Engadget hails the device as quite an achievement at it's current price point ($200) but they do knock the device some by saying that it can't compete with 'normal' tablets that are currently on the market in some key factors.

Nintendo shareholders would really like to see Mario on the iPhone, sooner than later.
It's an interesting time these days for video game consoles. That is of course, if you happen to be a company called Nintendo. Nintendo's latest handheld has been officially declared as a flop (even by Nintendo itself) and the price has been reduced not long after release. The caliber of games you can find on the iPhone and iPad do rival what you can find on a Nintendo handheld - and at a much cheaper cost ($40 compared to often times $1-2). It should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Nintendo decides to drop price of the 3DS from $249 to $169.
But that's not all! If you were an early adopter and have managed to come out of the ordeal eye-strain free you'll have twenty free games waiting for you for being such a loyal customer. Those free games will be comprised of titles from Nintendo's eShop - ten of which have to be NES and the other ten GBA... but hey, free games!

Some photos of an amazing three-dimensional street mural for your dizzying pleasure.
The folks over at WebUrbanist have uncovered some awesome photos of a street illusion over in Stockholm. There are some videos over on their site in which the artist gives a behind the scenes look at how the overall effect was achieved. Last interesting note: traditionally sidewalk or street art is done in chalk but this installation was pulled off using massively printed sheets (to achieve the photo-realism element of the project).

Amazon decides to suspend sales of the Nintendo 3DS handheld.
A heads up to anyone thinking of purchasing a shiny new Nintendo 3DS from Amazon.com, you can't right now. You'll have to go to a local retailer (edit: or a non-Amazon marketplace seller) , at least for now, to get your hands on one. The official word from Amazon is that there may be something wrong with the method in which the handheld is shipped or the way in which shipping is described. Huh?

A review of the Fujifilm FinePix F550EXR digital camera.
This is not a product plug (although it will sound like one) but I recently purchased one of these and so far I'm loving it. I've always been a big fan of Fuji's line of cameras, they last a long time and take great pictures. I've tried out some other point and shoot digicams from Canon and just have never been all that impressed. I always end up coming to back Fuji. I'll post a couple examples to the photoblog sometime this week. Two thumbs up from me if you're in the market for a new point and shoot.

Apple would like you to know that they have surpassed 15 billion downloads in the app store.
Engadget reports on Apple's latest press release in which not only have they hit the fifteen billion download mark, but they also want to point out that they've paid out 2.5 billion dollars for developing said fifteen billion apps. This number accounts for app sales across iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad users (of which there are 200 million) - just in case you were wondering

Next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean to be filmed exclusively in 3D.
Yes, the next you see Jack Sparrow on the big screen you'll be able see him in multiple dimensions. Filming in 3D offers up obvious some advantages over adding useless effects in post - though you may up seeing a bevy of Avatar-like effects (not necessarily a bad thing). POTC4 will be swash-buckling into theaters May 2011.
