New Lego Mindstorm sets come with iOS and Android support right out of the box.Its updated Mindstorms EV3 runs on new Linux firmware that's ready for Android and iOS control out of the box, creates an overall more hackable platform and allows further programming on the core Intelligent Brick itself; accordingly, there's an SD card slot for local storage. A built-in infrared sensor expands the possibilities for a more autonomous design, as well -- Lego suggests that EV3 constructs can follow other moving gadgets, or even their creators, around the room.

Many of the old institutions that once anchored the American Dream have been bled of public confidence. Banks, Big Business, the news media and Congress all polled at or near record lows during his first term. Obama himself was the target of uncommon vitriol, but he has somehow managed to keep the public’s faith.

A couple of highlights from Arnold Schwarzenegger's commentary on the Total Recall DVD.Normally I'm usually quite opposed to post anything from a Gawker-related media site (in this case the main Gawker.com site of all things) but this one was just too good to pass up. Watch the embedded video and you'll hear Arnold quip about some interesting points during the movie-making process that was Total Recall. Here is a great example: 'this scene is unbelievable because my frustration that this taxi cab does not understand where I want to go.'

Had this been in New York I would've headed over to it in a heartbeat to tour it with the kids. On a sadder note, the balloons do not come with the house. Although you could get yourself a Golden Retriever, name it Dug, and call it day.

James Spader’s ultra-confident and sexually charged character featured briefly in the NBC hit’s May finale is set to join the cast of the show's upcoming eighth season, NBC confirmed. 'James will reprise his role as Robert California, this uber-salesman that has a power to convince and manipulate, like a high-class weirdo Jedi warrior,' said Paul Lieberstein, one of the series executive producers and a series regular.
