- Twenty-five great reasons as to why you should buy a Nintendo Wii.
You won't find the ability to not output in HD as a reason on this list of purchase reasons. Don't get me wrong, the Wii is a lot of fun - it's just that after playing other consoles (Xbox 360, PS3) it feels like a baby's toy.

- Square Enix did quite well this year with their multi-million selling titles.
One of those titles happened to be Final Fantasy XIII, a game that literally makes you literally click one button for ten plus hours and nothing else. On the flip side, if you manage to stick it out past the twenty hour mark the game begins to get somewhat enjoyable.

- PopCap offers up Mac gaming bundle, get your Peggle and Zuma on.
Got fifty bucks laying around and don't know what to do with it? Why not put it to some mind-numbing addictive casual video game use. As an added bonus some of these games can be quite therapeutic after a long day of work.

- Microsoft would like you know that Natal will launch this October.
Get your imaginary baseballs and soccer balls (anything imaginary will do really) ready because Project Natal will be available for your beloved Xbox 360 this October. Microsoft hasn't nailed down an exact date that month but they think they'll have that ironed out by the time E3 rolls around.

- The recently announced Nintendo 3DS will have a 2D switch, just in case.
Details about Nintendo's 3D handheld gaming device have been scarce since it was announced in late March. But the company's president says it will have a feature that lets gamers turn off 3D functionality and play in standard 2D.

- Five awesome indie games for the price of... whatever you want.
Well, this is pretty neat treat for a Monday; you can net yourself five great indie games at whatever price you want and proceeds go to charity (and the devs). I've been hearing great things about these games so this is pretty much a no-brainer for me. And yes, you should pay more than a penny for these. Thanks to Ant for the heads up.

- Teaser trailer for Space Paranoids Online surfaces on the Interwebs.
I'm not sure if this is an actual upcoming game or if this is just a viral marketing advert for Tron Legacy. Either way, the concept is pretty cool and I'd most likely end up giving it a whirl should it see the light of day.

- Daily Grind: Caffeinated
Name: Vin (aka hyper-hypo)
Occupation: Webmaster / Procrastinator / Dad
How Vin feels today: Caffeinated @ 12:51:25 PM
What Vin really wants today: To remind self the next time I order a medium coffee at the local coffee shop that its quite large rather than medium. Enjoy unnecessary caffeine boost, attempt to post additional links to make up for yesterday.Music Stuck in Head: Big Bang Baby / Stone Temple Pilots
Any song that mentions Orange Crush in the lyrics is OK in my book. And by book I really mean magazine. And by magazine I really mean pamphlet. And by pamphlet I mean - whatever, the list is short.Stuff to do today:
- Go to Apple Cube over on Fifth Ave
- Remark that overall feeling and general consensus of the iPad was... underwhelming
- ...its kinda heavy for everyday use - especially as an e-reader
- ...typing on the device is not exactly a joy either
- Interface was pretty neat but if you have an iPhone you've been there
- On the other hand, that newly updated MacBook Pro is quite awesome
- ...and freakin' fast (even the base Intel i5 model screams)
- Save money for next major purchase

- Paramount teams up with Seagate to deliver movies via external hard drives.
The new FreeAgent Go 500 gigabyte device will have 21 movies preloaded, including a free offer of 'Star Trek.' Users can unlock access to any of the other 20 movies after paying for a passcode for a price of between $9.99 and $14.99.

- Netflix streaming on your Nintendo Wii now available to those who request a disc.
I'm actually curious about thisin terms of the quality of video for standard definition video offerings from Netflix. Since the Wii is already of a low caliber resolutiuon (480p) maybe it would display standard def videos better than my Xbox 360? I might have my logic on this one backwards.

- Best Buy now selling that Barnes and Noble Nook e-reader.
This should certainly ramp up the potential exposure that The Nook receives with these added purchase locations. Although, I'm not sure if it will really help as most Best Buy locations are also selling Apple's iPad. Side by side, The Nook looks a little shabby at it's current price tag.
