- Weird Al to direct his first feature film for Cartoon Network.
Not many details yet but congrats to Al on this new gig. Fun fact: two members of my immediate family can still recite the lyrics from 'Dare to be Stupid' from memory. Bonus fact: we are both over the age of thirty.

- Next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean to be filmed exclusively in 3D.
Yes, the next you see Jack Sparrow on the big screen you'll be able see him in multiple dimensions. Filming in 3D offers up obvious some advantages over adding useless effects in post - though you may up seeing a bevy of Avatar-like effects (not necessarily a bad thing). POTC4 will be swash-buckling into theaters May 2011.

- Marvel and Disney character mashups through the mutated eye of Photoshop.
Mike Wazowski is Bruce Banner as The Incredible Myopic Hulk - and there's your plot for The Incredible Hulk 2 (or 3?) and/or Monsters Inc 2. The scary part is that legally, this can actually be made (Disney owns Marvel) and someone in Hollywood probably thinks its a good idea.

- A new crop of images have surfaced online for the upcoming Tron sequel.
I'm loving the upgrades to some of the items from the original Tron and seeing how they've been reimagined for this generation. C'mon, you know you'd want to take a ride on a light cycle. And remember kids, Tron Legacy is due in theaters this December. END OF LINE.

- Warner would really like you to upgrade your DVD collection over to Blu-ray.
Do you have a whole bunch of Warner movies still festering on DVD? If those DVDs happen to be in their small list of seventy-five titles - you can upgrade them over to that fancy new Blu-ray format... for a small fee. What, did you think it was free? Silly human.

- Teaser trailer for Space Paranoids Online surfaces on the Interwebs.
I'm not sure if this is an actual upcoming game or if this is just a viral marketing advert for Tron Legacy. Either way, the concept is pretty cool and I'd most likely end up giving it a whirl should it see the light of day.

- Season finale of House filmed entirely via a Canon 5D Mark II digital camera.
This is quite an endorsement for Canon, with a network giant entrusting the finale of one of its most popular shows to the 5D Mark II (which happens to be the first digital camera to take the Presidential portrait as well).

- Early review screenings of Toy Story 3 coming back quite positive already.
The folks over at CNET were lucky enough to get an advance screening of the movie and their consensus is that this installment will be a very big winner. Not that it wasn't a hard prediction to make even without seeing a screener but this is a neat read nonetheless for my fellow Pixar fans out there.

- Mr. Plinkett's review of Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones now online.
It's finally here! If you enjoyed the first seventy minute review of Episode 1 than you'll definetly have many a laugh with the ninety minute review of Episode 2. At least... that's what he said.

- Original cast of MST3K on tour and riffing movies in front of a live audience.
Cinematic Titanic, the new feature-length movie riffing show from the creator and original cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000, continues the tradition of riffing on t he unfathomable, the horribly great, and the just plain 'cheesy' movies of the past.
