- Will 3D television technology save the industry?
Many however believe 2010 really is the breakthrough year for the technology, helped in large party by the growing number of 3D movies at the theatre and the success of James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar.

- Disney makes good use of their monorail system for some new ads. Tron-orails!
This is some particularly clever advertising from the folks over at Disney for the upcoming reboot of Tron (coming out December 17t h). Of course the effect may be lost if the monorail happens to be traveling in the opposite direction of the ad but that's a minor detail.

- Gandalf confirms that 'The Hobbit' will indeed start filming this June.
This news comes straight from Ian McKellen's website who will of course be reprising his role as Gandalf the Grey. Casting is already in progress and it's estimated that filming will take about a year or so over in New Zealand.

- Large Hadron Collider to officially shut down for one year due to safety concerns.
Dr Myers said: 'It's something that, with a lot more resources and with a lot more manpower and quality control, possibly could have been avoided but I have difficulty in thinking that this is something that was a design error.'

Details are scarce at this point but a posting on Rock Band's Facebook page promises to 'innovate and revolutionize the music genre once again, just as Harmonix did with the original Rock Band'.

- Toy Story attraction over at Disney adapts for seasons and/or new movie releases.
That's right, when you go inside to ride Mania after Toy Story 3 opens there will be whole new games to enjoy. The Imagineers have created a whole new collection of things to shoot with those pull string cannons for you to enjoy.

- Sony to start selling 3D-capable televisions starting this June.
Included are two pairs of Sony's 3-D glasses, as well as a camera sensor on each unit that will adjust sound and picture quality based on viewers' positions. A remote control button enables the switch from a regular 2-D image to 3-D.

- Brand new trailer for Tron Legacy finally surfaces on the Interwebs.
Apparently this took a great deal of sifting through viral sites for the trailer to be unearthed. Thankfully though when the Internet wants something they don't stop until they get it and the result is said brand new Tron Legacy trailer in glorious high definition.
