- Six intriguingly shaped communities as seen on Google Maps.
It's amazing the kind of strange things you can observe in satellite pictures these days.

- A collection of the world's strangest buildings for you to gawk at.
Sorry, but you won't find any, as Travel & Leisure puts it, 'goofball novelty' buildings on this list. On the plus side, if you've always wanted to see what a bar-code building looks like then this post has your numeric ID all over it.

- Eleven of the strangest how-to books you can currently find on Amazon.
Turns out there is a how-to book out there for any and all subject that you can probably think of and that includes caring for and raising your very own mythical creatures. My personal favorite from this list though is 'How to Avoid Huge Ships' - which apparently is a serious offering in terms of boat safety.

- A collection of weird road signs from all over the world for you to gawk at.
I never knew that Big Foot looked like a cross between Aquaman and a goat. Those rangers over at Pike National Park in Coloroda Springs must know something that we don't. Or do they? Conspiracy!

- Fifteen things about The Simpsons you may not have previously known about.
I had no idea that every Simpsons family member's middle name started with the letter J. Also it's nice to see that 'D'oh' is officially part of our English dictionary. Have you pulled a Homer today?

- Meet Pisco, the very first surfing alpaca.
Mr Pianezzi, 44, has introduced his alpaca Pisco to the waters of the Pacific Ocean over the past several months. Unlike dogs, an alpaca does not instinctively jump into the sea for a swim.

- Escaped monkey manages to make time for several Facebook appearances.
Facebook: the only place where you can find photos of an escaped monkey and then read posts by that same monkey as he taunts the authorities. Is there anything social networking can't do?

- Twelve very creative home wallpapers for your viewing pleasure.
If pixelated wallpaper isn't your thing there are ton of other interesting designs listed over on the other side of the click. The color palette/wallpaper idea sounds like a fun weekend project as Home Depot sure doesn't seem to mind the taking of those free swatch colors (you may need multiple trips to get away with it though).

- Ten of the geekiest ties for your viewing pleasure.
Fellow nerds in the workplace: I urge you to get out there and wear your geek pride proudly to work in tie-form. You make us all proud. Bonus points to anyone who rocks the eight-bit tie (a personal favorite of mine).

- Ten unusual (but cool) vacuum cleaners for you to gawk at.
Every office or cubicle should have a tiny USB retro vacuum and I'll be ordering mine when stock becomes available. Another fun fact to be learned here is that your vacuum cleaner can double as a makeshift proton pack.

- Nine of the most terrifying attempts to improve popular foods.
Covers everything from spray-able pancake batter and carbonated yogurt all the way over to colored ketchup and edible plates (Ritz crackers are a quick substitute for this as well - thank you Mitch Hedberg). So, who's hungry?
