Apple would like their device back from Gizmodo, sends official letter.Apple would like their device back from Gizmodo, sends official letter.

Well, this whole story just keeps getting more interesting every minute. Apple has acknowledged the existence of said missing device and sent notice asking for return. Gizmodo has decided to post the letter along with a casual smart-alecky response as well. Not a good way to win brownie points or future media event invitations.

Not sure just what version of Photoshop you'll need to pull this off but you can probably find multiple methods in earlier versions should you be so inclinded to do so. Quick note, the best use of digital paper design on a blog goes to Panic.

NASA to send first humanoid robot out into space later this year.NASA to send first humanoid robot out into space later this year.

The robotics aren't quite advanced enough yet to send an actual android that is advanced as the ones you've seen on Star Trek - but it's a start. As to when these robot astronauts will turn on their masters and decide to destory all of our satellites - anybody's guess.

Seven things about JavaScript you wish you'd have known earlier in your career.Seven things about JavaScript you wish you'd have known earlier in your career.

As usual, another quality post from the folks over at Smashing Magazine. I have to admit that I'm guilty of still not knowing some of the tidbits contained in this article despite (for all intensive purposes) this being my career for quite some time. How irresponsible is that?

Cheese sandwiches can also double as punishment sentence for school food fights.Cheese sandwiches can also double as punishment sentence for school food fights.

Ah, food fights - the cornerstone of every good education. Rather than hand out detention for those involved in said food fights, one New Jersey school decided to serve up nothing but cheese sandwiches. They hope this policy will help to reduce further food fight escalations. Keep on fighting the good fight, Jersey.

Everything you need to know about that recently leaked iPhone and the story thus far.Everything you need to know about that recently leaked iPhone and the story thus far.

If you haven't heard by now (which you probably have but we'll continue anyway) Gizmodo mysteriously got their hands on a prototype of the next generation iPhone which was supposedly left in a bar by an Apple employee. This breach of Apple security and the entire story itself is raising all kinds of questions about media ethics.

Some amazing photos of that pesky volcanic ash for you to gawk at.Some amazing photos of that pesky volcanic ash for you to gawk at.

If you happened to be doing some overseas traveling over the past few days you might have noticed a delay or two (possibly more numerous than that). While this would've made for a really good excuse to justify the lack of recent GLM postings, sadly (or happily - depending how you look at it) it wasn't the case. More on that later.

I'm not sure that I'd actually take let my kids run amok on some of these locales but speaking as an adult, I'd be all over these in a heartbeat. Unnecessary slides at ridiculous heights! Whee!

This is very good news (and quite unexpected also) for customers of any of the aformentioned companies in the above headline. You can now take advantage of any of their wifi whilst traveling just so long as you are paying customer. Not too shabby, guys - not too shabby at all.

Adobe to sue Apple sometime in the near future regarding recent SDK changes.Adobe to sue Apple sometime in the near future regarding recent SDK changes.

This really shouldn't be a surprise given Apple's recent barring of none-native code on the iPhone and features that Adobe had ready for CS5 in those regards for development. Apparently this was the final straw and not the relentless bashing they've endured for lack of Flash on Apple's various mobile devices.
